This project was done on a tight deadline and also entirely remotely. The headquarters of the Soft Foot Alliance is on the edge of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. My producer and I faced many challenges in recording interviews and achieving decent sound quality from quite a distance. We did some creative problem solving and because the founders of the Soft Foot Alliance are quite extraordinary individuals with a great story, I think we came away with something that captures their work. It also helps immensely that Brent is an accomplished photographer!

This video was screened initially at St. Anne’s Warehouse in Brooklyn at a talk and fundraiser  for about 100 people. I finally got to meet Brent after about three weeks of emailing and WhatsApp-ing. The video now lives on the Soft Foot Alliance website. www.softfootalliance.com
