Ripple Pictures is an expandable one-woman studio.

I’ve been in love with movies since I was a kid. Instead of the Breakfast Club I was watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I was an expert in all things Hitchcock. So of course in my college years I started working on various film projects. I was lucky to get my start on Ken Burns’ Baseball and to go on to work on two other large documentaries for him, becoming an editor on Jazz. In between, I worked on small indie films, my own projects and on the editing team for National Geographic and a White House special.

I spent a few wonderful years focused on mothering my three children, and gradually began doing more general communications work in the nonprofit sector. I learned how satisfying it was to work for causes that I believe in, causes that are trying to make the world a better place for all beings. I eventually became director of communications at two local nonprofits.

And yet. I wanted to get back to my roots of filmmaking and pursue projects with meaning and the possibility for real impact. So here we are. I’ve been creating shorter videos with big impact, using an authentic aesthetic that keeps it real and tends to keep costs down.

I’ve got the knowhow and equipment to envision, write, produce, direct and edit your idea. I can do all those things or just some of it.

In addition, I’ve got a sense of purpose, some useful experience and a taste for adventure. How about you?
